MAMA CASS AND ALAN WATTS - BRIGHT STARS OF THE 1960s COUNTERCULTURE

Cass Elliott (1941-1974), known the world over as Mama Cass, became a folk singer in 1963, and then skyrocketed to fame in 1965, when she founded the American-Canadian folk pop rock vocal group, the Mamas and the Papas (which was active for three years). - After which she became a solo artist. "Finding her way through the 60’s folk-rock scene, Cass would go on to become one of the defining voices of the counterculture movement" [2], - The latter of which my main spirit guide, the globally renowned British-American spiritual philosopher, Alan Watts (1915- 1973), was also a large part of.

Alan Watts (who had previously trained as an Anglican priest), was a predominant spiritual leader in the 1960s counterculture movement. His excellent clear concise translation of Zen Buddhism, Taoism, and Hinduism for the Western world, was revolutionary in that he questioned established social norms, ego-propelled consciousness, and the sensed 'spiritual absenteeism' of the American way of life.

"People who knew [Mama Cass], describe the gravity that she generated around herself, a force of self-determination, humor, and charisma. She would release five solo albums and a top 40 single Make Your Own Kind of Music, before her sudden passing in 1974, at a tragically young 32 years old" [1]. She will always be thought of for her warm, mother-earth voice and soulful spirit. And her legacy as a sparkling trailblazer who encouraged others to follow their hearts, will live on.

And it is her warm heart imbued with love that she wants to send out to all the children and people in the world who are suffering. Mama Cass knows about the catastrophic changes that are coming to our beautiful green and blue planet, and she wants to embrace us and get us to sing to raise our vibration. She also wants us to know that after all the cleansing that has to be done, there is light at the tunnel, and that New Earth will be a happy, united, peaceful place, just like it was in the 1960s. - Music, peace and love, flower power, and a new spiritual era for all..

New Earth (which is frequently described as 5D), embodies a collective shift in our state of consciousness. This focuses on harmony, peace and unity. - And as such, it represents a shift from fear-based living to love-based living.
